HOLA, I'M DAKOTA BAÑOS

As you can see above, I’m Dakota or D or Kiki or whatever you want to call me. I’m a young graphic designer who loves layout design. Magazines, books, guides... I’ve always noticed these designs since I was a kid.

Growing up, I used to take the instruction manuals of video games and just look at them for hours admiring how fun they could be, and how the images made a difference in understanding what needed to be done to play the game effectively. I would draw the characters I saw in the manuals, cut them out, and make my own stories with them.  

Other than design, I find inspiration from other hobbies like playing video games (mainly Nintendo, that is), watching movies, and my guilty pleasure: anime. I love the art style of manga and anime, for the bold lines and expressive designs. Pop music usually gets me in my best head space, and the expressive quality of my favorite artists give me more inspiration.
